Hello, and welcome to planDisney! We’re so happy you found us and stopped by with this question. First and foremost, thank you for your service to our country! Disney has a longstanding tradition of honoring members of the military and their families, and I’m delighted to be able to help you plan your visit.
This year both the
Disney Military Salute and Disney Celebrates America Military Salute tickets are available to active or retired U.S. service members (or their spouse) and 100% disabled veterans. The service member or spouse can purchase up to six tickets for themselves, plus family and friends. Therefore, if you are a 100% disabled veteran, this means that you can indeed buy them for yourself, your mom, and your brother!
A couple of important requirements for these tickets are that at least one of those tickets must be for yourself, and you must be present for the first use of each ticket to activate them at a Walt Disney World Resort ticket window. You will need to present a valid military ID both when purchasing the tickets and again at the ticket window before entering the park for the first time. These tickets can be purchased tax-free at a local military base and the
Shades of Green Resort. You can also purchase them at Walt Disney World, but applicable sales tax will apply.
Also, if you are eligible for these tickets, you are also eligible for
military room discounts at Walt Disney World Resort hotels. These rates are subject to availability, but you can
call to speak with a friendly Cast Member who can help, if you are interested in booking a room at these special rates.
Thanks for stopping by with this great question, and thank you again for your service! If you have any more questions be sure to come back and see us at planDisney. We’re always here to help!
With a special salute from Mickey,
Casey
