When dinning at table service restaurants like Cinderellas castle can children Order the adult meal? Can they adjust the charge at the time of dinning?

    Royal Greetings, Jessica!

We're so glad you hitched a pumpkin carriage ride over to planDisney with your question. It sounds like you have a magical visit just around the corner, and I'm happy to help serve as a Fairy Godmother of sorts for all your planning needs.

As you've likely seen, a meal at Cinderella's Royal Table at Magic Kingdom Park is a pre-paid Character dining experience. Guests will be charged in full at the time of booking unless they will be utilizing a dining plan during their visit, as my fellow panelist, Ashley, explains here. Once you've found a date and time that fits your schedule, you'll indicate the number of adults and children aged 3-9 (priced according to age and meal period), as well as infants aged 0-2 who will not be charged, but should be accounted for proper table size.

Kids will have different options than adults on both the breakfast and lunch/dinner menus, but I understand that some have more sophisticated palates than others. I reached out to a Cast Member who indicated that you can let your server know your child would like to order off the adult menu once you arrive. You'll pay the difference in person at the restaurant, but they should enjoy a meal to remember faster than you can say, "Bibbidi Bobbidi Boo!"

If you haven't already done so, I recommend securing your advance dining reservations as soon as possible. Cinderella's Royal Table is a very popular experience and tends to book up quickly, but you'll find plenty of Table Service and Character Dining options to choose from across Walt Disney World Resort. Breakfast with Winnie the Pooh and friends at The Crystal Palace is a great alternative right in Magic Kingdom, and the churro Mickey waffles are incredible! My family also loves breakfast at Topolino's Terrace – Flavors of the Riviera if you're looking for a Character meal that doesn't require theme park admission.

I hope this helped, Jessica. If you have additional dining questions, please come back and let us know. We're always happy to help, even after the clock strikes midnight.

Wishing you a magical and delicious visit!
