If I want to book Cinderella’s Royal Table & we are using dining plan, do I have to pay to hold it? And how many people am I able to make the reservation for, I have a party if 10?

    Hi, there!

Welcome to planDisney, Amy. I'm so glad you stopped by! And I'm super excited to see you're visiting the Walt Disney World Resort this Summer. What an exciting time to experience the magic in and out of the theme parks!

A meal at Cinderella's Royal Table is always a fairytale-worthy experience. With a majestic ballroom, decadent food, and the delightful company of beloved Disney Princesses, you're sure to make magical memories there!

You ask a great question about booking this unique Character Dining Experience. I was once responsible for making a reservation at Cinderella's Royal Table for my extended family of 14, and we all had the Disney Dining Plan, but I was very nervous I would be required to pay the advance payment for all those people! I'm pleased to tell you that you won't need to pay that advance payment when you make your dining reservation. You will need to enter your credit card information just to fulfill the hold requirement, but when you complete the online reservation process, bibbidi-bobbidi-boo, your Disney Dining Plan will cover the advance payment, and your credit card will not be charged!

As a Guest of the Disney Resorts Collection, you can make your dining reservations up to 60-days before your arrival date, for the length of your stay, up to 10-days. The online reservation system opens up availability at 6:00 AM on that 60-day mark. The sooner you book that reservation, the better availability you'll find! When I try to book a hard-to-get dining reservation like Cinderella's Royal Table, I wake up bright and early, pour a hot cup of coffee (in a Disney mug, of course!), and get my laptop fired up by 5:45 AM. That way, I'm among the very first to access reservation availability when the system opens up at 6:00 AM. I had no trouble making a reservation for my family of 14! The later in your stay you that you search for reservation availability (like the fifth or sixth day of your vacation), the more likely you are to find a booking time for your party of 10.

I hope this was helpful, Amy. Please let us know if you have any other questions about your Walt Disney World Resort vacation! We'd love to help you plan a magical stay.
