Hi there Mara,
Welcome to planDisney! Ooohh... I like they way you think, and I LOVE your idea of making dinner out of grazing at the
EPCOT International Festival of the Arts food booths! I totally relate to the desire to have a good 'ol dining reservation in the plans. But if you are up for the flexible "grab a plate and find a spot to sit" experience, there are some delicious limited time offerings to savor during this fun festival.
Would it help you decide if you could peruse some menus ahead of time?
Well you're in luck! Disney has posted a terrific website filled with awesome details of the
Food Studios that will be featured during this year's Festival of the Arts. Check it out for photos and menus with descriptions of what each pavilion's booth will be serving. True, they are called "snacks". But you can easily find a savory / entree type plate to start with (or two)... and then move on to a sweet treat (or two) for dessert. Yaaay, you!
If you look over the festival menus and decide that you'd prefer to sit down for a table-service dining experience instead, may I recommend
Teppan Edo? My son and I just dined there last week, and it was one of our favorite meals of our entire trip. So delicious, and also an exciting experience to watch a Japanese chef prepare your dinner right in front of you.
You really can't go wrong with your foodie day spent at EPCOT, Mara. I hope you have a wonderful visit! Please pop by planDisney again some time, with any of additional planning questions you have.
Enjoy those magical eats,
Tami
