How lovely to meet you, Jacqueline. I am so glad you stopped by with this question about your upcoming split stay. Three days at
Disney's Art of Animation Resort, followed by a week at
Disney's Animal Kingdom Lodge, sounds practically perfect in every way.
Art of Animation is such a fun resort with its larger-than-life characters. Add the I'm Nemo Cheesecake and the
Disney Skyliner, and you can fuel up on deliciousness and swing through the skies to start your vacation. At Animal Kingdom Lodge, it will be like the Lion King characters came to life and followed you to your new home. Hakuna Matata!
Although split stays are awesome for experiencing the vibe of different resorts, you will have two different 60-day windows for making
dining reservations. You can book the first four days of your vacation for the Art of Animation stay since your check-in and check-out days are included. Sixty days before your check-in date for Animal Kingdom Lodge, you can make reservations for the rest of your stay.
Now, if you are looking at
Lightning Lane passes, you can purchase these for any day of your stay. As long as there is no gap in your reservation dates, Lightning Lane passes are available seven days before your check-in date for the entire length of your split stay.
I hope you can get all the dining experiences your heart desires! I always plan for the harder-to-get reservations toward the end of my trip and book them first. I also really appreciate the ability to search across multiple days. For restaurants like
'Ohana, which is a family favorite and fills up quickly, I pull up the restaurant page and search across our trip to find the best time available.
You are arriving just in time to welcome the
EPCOT International Festival of the Arts. More details will be announced as the festival draws closer. I hope the sidewalk chalk artists return. The mastery of all the artists is a spectacle to behold, but the visual illusions the sidewalk artists create blow my mind. It is so much fun!
