You are in luck, as it's easy to use a smart watch in the theme parks instead of a regular
MagicBand+ or a phone. My husband and I found ourselves at
EPCOT unexpectedly a couple of years ago and used our Apple Watches, and now he prefers that and uses it every time we visit!
This is possible through using
Disney MagicMobile Service, which allows you to use your watch to tap for entry at the park entrances and
Lightning Lane queues. You will need to set this up before you arrive at the theme parks, and make sure that your watch has its most recent updates. Here's how to get your pass set up:
- From the home screen of the My Disney Experience app, select the three lines at lower right (the "hamburger menu").
- Scroll down to "Set Up MagicMobile Entry".
- Select "Set Up Pass". You will then see your pass with a green check mark next to it. Click "Change Pass Style"to customize the design of your pass with a favorite Disney attraction or icon! You can also set up passes for other Guests in your group and manage all of them with your Apple Watch.
- Click "Add to Apple Wallet".
- There will be one last screen to confirm, and then you will be able to see the MagicMobile Pass in your Apple Wallet and use your watch throughout the parks!
