Hello Jade! Welcome to planDisney! It’s always great to chat with a fellow Marvel fan.
I was thrilled when it was announced that both Deadpool and Wolverine would be coming to
Avengers Campus. The Storytime with Deadpool, both the original and Christmas Special, were hilarious, with Deadpool dropping jokes and, more often than not, breaking the fourth wall. My personal favorite was Beautypool and the Wolverbeast, with Logan coming in to help Wade finish the "tale as old time." Plus the shenanigans were plentiful when either Deadpool or Wolverine visited other parts of the campus.
Unfortunately, the Storytime with Deadpool Holiday Special is a limited time offering and is currently only scheduled to run until Monday, January 6th. After that Deadpool and Wolverine may be called away on other missions with the Marvel Universe. However, I would recommend checking the
Disney Parks Blog because you never know when they (or other Marvel heroes) may make a visit to Avengers Campus.
But don't fret, True Believer! While the Merc with a Mouth and Weapon X may be gone, there will still be plenty of other opportunities to meet Earth's Mightiest Heroes. I recommend stopping by the
Avengers Command Center, as it is the hub for heroic activity within the Campus. Not only can you stop for a photo with heroes in front of the iconic Avengers logo, but at several points during the day, Marvel legends will gather on top of the Command Center to greet guests! You may also catch one or two defending the Command Center from villains on the hunt for Stark Tech. Be sure to download the
Disneyland App and use the Character Locator feature to see who is on patrol during your visit.
Finally, to truly get your Marvel fix, you should visit the newly opened
Avengers Reserve, located in
Downtown Disney. This shopping location is fully stocked with statues, artwork, authentic film props and music from the Marvel Cinematic Universe. You know you’re in the right place when you see the Amazing sculpture of Spider-Man swinging out front.
I know you will have an uncanny time exploring Avengers Campus, Jade. Go out there and make (and eat) those chimichangas!
