If I have deactivated all my magic bands, how do I permanently archive them?

    Hi Frederick!

Welcome back to planDisney! I’m guessing the two of us are in the same boat with LOTS of MagicBands on our account!

In my experience, you can deactivate your MagicBands online, but you cannot delete or archive them without assistance from a Cast Member. I recommend calling the My Disney Experience, MagicBand, and MagicBand+ phone number to see what they can do.

The good news is that as long as your MagicBands are deactivated, they won’t have any functionality. So, you won’t need to worry about the deactivated bands being linked to any reservations or having any charging capabilities.

You’re also more than welcome to have multiple MagicBands on your account and activated. If you purchase a new MagicBand, that doesn’t necessarily mean you need to deactivate a current one unless you want to.

I currently have 17 deactivated and 2 activated MagicBands on my account with no issues.  (And I may or may not be looking at getting another MagicBand+ now that I’ve seen how fun the extra features are!)

As we talked about earlier, though, if you no longer want them on your account, a Cast Member would be happy to assist you!

Let us know if you have any other questions!
