Hello Jason,
Welcome to planDisney! It's fantastic to hear you're looking to Access the Magic with Disney MagicMobile. This feature offers the convenience of accessing park entries, Lightning Lane selections, and more through your smart device. As an iPhone user, you'll appreciate the ease of tapping your phone at the Mickey touchpoints without needing to unlock your device, a seamless way to start your adventure.
In my own experiences, MagicMobile has been invaluable, especially when my wife and I needed to divide and conquer. When our boys were younger, one of us would return to our Disney Resort hotel for a mid-day nap with the little one while the other stayed in the parks with the older kids. Once the nap was over, rejoining the family was a breeze using MagicMobile, allowing us to pick up right where we left off.
To address your question about adding your children's MagicMobile passes to your digital wallet, the process varies depending on your device. Since your wife initially made the reservations and has the passes on her device, she can share them with iMessage if you're both using Apple devices. Here's how:
- Your wife should open the My Disney Experience app on her device.
- Tap the menu icon (three horizontal lines) in the bottom right corner.
- Select "Disney MagicMobile."
- She will see "Your Passes," which include hers and the children's.
- Tap "Select Passes to Share."
- Choose the passes to share and tap "Share via Messages."
- This will open her messaging app; she can then text the passes to you.
You can add the passes to your Apple Wallet upon receiving the message. Please note that sharing Disney MagicMobile passes is currently only available through Apple iMessage, and recipients must have an iPhone and be in your contact list.
If you're using an Android device, you should open the app, tap the menu icon, and select "My Tickets & Passes." On the next screen, you can swipe through all the linked passes and choose your children's passes individually to "Save to Wallet." If you encounter any issues, I recommend visiting a Guest Relations location at any of the four theme parks. The Cast Members there can assist you with the process. Alternatively, you can request physical Key to the World cards for your children or consider purchasing MagicBand+ accessories. These options allow your kids to access park entries, Lightning Lane entrances, and even your Disney Resort room with a simple tap or swipe.
I hope this helps. If you have any follow-up questions, let me know! I hope you and your family enjoy visiting The Most Magical Place On Earth!
