Hey there, Jenna, and welcome to planDisney!
So it sounds like you've officially entered the stage where, although your daughter is a "Disney adult" in prices for the
Disney Dining Plan, her taste buds haven't quite caught up to the grown-up menu. I see this come up all the time, and I'm happy to help you keep your not-so-little one fed.
While kids aged 3 years old to 9 years old can only order from the kids' menu options, your 10-year-old has a bit of flexibility. She can order from the adult menu or the kids' menu where available. While adult selections are the standard expectation, just let your server know that she'd like something from the kids' menu where applicable. Just be aware that it will still count as a full dining credit.
Pro-tip: I'd consider booking Advanced Dining Reservations for buffets where available, like
The Crystal Palace,
Cape May Café, and
Tusker House Restaurant. That way, your daughter will be able to eat as much as she wants, and you'll get the best bang for your buck.
Jenna, I'm wishing you a most magical vacation with lots of laughs shared over good food, no matter the menu. If you have any other questions, please feel free to
come back for another chat!Happy planning!
