We are getting ready for our trip for MNSSHP . We are doing a split stay at Animal Kingdom & Poly tower . We have never stayed deluxe before . We normally stay at the wonderful Port Orleans. Are we allowed to decorate our windows or doors ??

How ya doin', Bianca, and welcome back to planDisney!

It sounds like you've booked what might just be the king of all split stays. Exploring the sights of the savanna at Disney's Animal Kingdom Lodge and then saying aloha to the Island Tower at Disney's Polynesian Villas and Bungalows sounds like quite the experience.

While decorating windows at lots of the value and moderate resorts and doors on the ships of Disney Cruise Line have been a bit of a tradition, those traditions don't seem to extend to the deluxe and Disney Vacation Club level. While the value and moderate tiers offer doors and windows that face open-air walkways, the deluxe options do not.

Pro-tip: This doesn't mean you can't add your own festive flair to the interior of your room during your stay. During a holiday visit to Bay Lake Tower, my friends and I brought our own mini Christmas tree and placed ornaments around our room, hung banners (without adhesive), and generally got the party started. Mini pumpkins and spiders may be just the thing to bring some boo to you for your Halloween visit.

Bianca, have the best time and get lots of candy at Mickey's Not-So-Scary Halloween Party. If you have any other questions, please feel free to come back for another chat!

    Happy planning!
