How many days up to my reservation can I change resorts

Heigh-ho, Lisa, and welcome to planDisney! Your Walt Disney World Resort visit is just around the corner, so let's talk about securing the most magical Disney Resort Hotel stay on Earth.

I chatted with a helpful Cast Member who said that most room-only reservations can be modified online, usually up until arrival. If you don't see the option to modify in your account, he said to call Tickets and Hotel Reservations to see what options you have. They can see your account and will make the change for you.

If you're staying for several days and can't decide between resorts, you can try to modify the last few days to a new resort hotel. Disney makes "split stays" so easy; they'll even transfer your luggage for you! I love split stays because it feels like a brand-new vacation when I check into that second resort.

Please note that we're in the midst of spring break season, so resort availability may be limited. But you can't go wrong with any on-site resort, in my opinion. I love the convenience of Disney's Pop Century Resort with its skyliner access, but I also had a blast at Disney's Animal Kingdom Lodge recently. From theming to dining, Disney resorts have something unique for everyone.

Lisa, I hope you secure the home away from home you're dreaming of. Please stop by planDisney anytime!

    Magic awaits,
    Elaine
