Hi Abhijit!
Welcome to planDisney! I can't think of a better place to celebrate the holiday season than at
The Most Magical Place on Earth! There is so much festive fun to enjoy throughout the parks, so let’s make a list (and check it twice!) for some not-to-be-missed holiday activities.
We’ll start in Magic Kingdom Park, where you’ll find a special holiday parade and fireworks each day you visit this week. I suggest checking the
Hours and Events Calendar on the website or your
My Disney Experience Mobile App for the latest information, but currently,
Mickey’s Once Upon a Christmastime Parade is scheduled daily at 12:00 PM and 3:00 PM and
Minnie’s Wonderful Christmastime Fireworks is listed at 8:00 PM each night of your trip. Don’t forget to also visit the
Jungle Cruise during your time in the park! This classic attraction gets a holiday overhaul, becoming the “Jingle” Cruise this time of year. It’s a popular ride choice, so I suggest heading there first thing in the morning or using
Lightning Lane Multi Pass to avoid what can become a lengthy line.
My other favorite park for holiday festivities is EPCOT. The annual
EPCOT International Festival of the Holidays is in full swing, with special holiday entertainment and food throughout the park. There are so many yummy treats to try at the various Holiday Kitchens that I recommend taking a sneak peek at the
Foodie Guide before your visit so you know what you want to try. My oldest son and I really enjoyed the Cookie Stroll this year! We sampled five different cookies around the park and earned a special completed prize at the end of our stroll. My favorite cookie was the Coffee Mocha Cookie, while his favorite was the SNICKERS-Doodle Cookie - you’ll have to try them both to see who you agree with!
At Disney’s Animal Kingdom Theme Park, my boys enjoyed seeing some of their favorite characters in holiday attire around the park - including special festive outfits for Mickey and Minnie at
Adventurers Outpost. Speaking of holiday outfits, if you can get a reservation at
Hollywood and Vine at Disney’s Hollywood Studios, you can enjoy a special holiday-themed character lunch or dinner. It’s important to keep in mind that holiday dining is not offered during breakfast here.
Abhijit, this is just a small sampling of
all of the holiday fun taking place around the Walt Disney World Resort, but I ho-ho-hope it gives you a few ideas as you begin your very merry vacation! If you have any other questions, please stop by to see us again here at planDisney!
Happy Holidays!
Kristi
