Hi Steven!
Welcome to planDisney! I'm so happy to see that your Walt Disney World Resort vacation begins
TOMORROW! While I love racing off to the parks to hug my favorite characters, my husband and boys also remind me that it's important to build in some relaxing time on our vacations. They love fishing, and I'm happy to share that you'll find lots of great options around Walt Disney World Resort!
While fishing is not currently available at
Disney's Coronado Springs Resort, you can find
fishing excursions available leaving from the following locations:
- Disney's Fort Wilderness Resort & Campground
- Disney's Caribbean Beach Resort
- Disney's Contemporary Resort
- Disney's Grand Floridian Resort & Spa
- Disney's Old Key West Resort
- Disney's Port Orleans Resort - Riverside
- Disney's Wilderness Lodge
- Disney's Yacht Club Resort
On our recent vacation earlier this month, we booked a fishing excursion from
Disney's Grand Floridian & Spa at 7:00 AM one morning. Despite some unusually chilly Florida temperatures, my husband and boys were able to catch quite a few fish and had a delightful time. In fact, my boys are already asking if we can do it again on our next trip! Reservations are not available online, but you can call to check availability during your stay.
In addition to fishing excursions, you can also find rod rentals and dockside fishing at
Disney's Fort Wilderness Resort & Campground and
Disney's Port Orleans Resort - Riverside. If you want to try one of these options, I suggest heading to Fort Wilderness, where you can also enjoy a visit to
Tri-Circle-D Ranch and a fun evening at
Chip 'N' Dale's Campfire Sing-A-Long!
Steven, I hope this information has been helpful and that you enjoy a wonderful visit to Walt Disney World Resort! If you have any other questions, please stop by to see us again here at planDisney!
Cheers,
Kristi
