Hi Samantha!
Welcome to planDisney.
I can understand your desire to spend an afternoon at one of the Disney Resort hotel pools, as they are gorgeous! Every pool is unique, and themed perfectly to blend with the hotel's story. For example, a huge favourite is Stormalong Bay - shared between Disney's Yacht and Beach Club Resorts - which has a unique sandy bottom and a lazy river. While over at Wilderness Lodge, Copper Creek Springs Pool could have been carved out of the rocks surrounding it, and the design of this might have you believe that it starts in the lobby, flows into a bubbling creek, over Copper Creek Falls, and into the pool.
Unfortunately, day passes at the Disney Resort hotels are not available. Pools are only available to be used by Disney Resort hotel guests with overnight stays. Even overnight guests are not permitted to pool hop to another Disney Resort hotel pool.
However, have you thought about visiting one of the Disney water parks? I always plan a day or two during my Walt Disney World holidays for some relaxation and a change from my hotel's pool, but still with amazing Disney theming.
Seasonal, or 1-day water park tickets are available for whichever park is open -
Disney's Typhoon Lagoon or
Disney's Blizzard Beach, and parking is complimentary for all guests. You can also upgrade your experience by reserving
Lodge Umbrellas (Blizzard Beach) or
Typhoon Lagoon Umbrellas for a guaranteed shaded area with 4 chairs, towels and a small table. Once booked, these are yours for the entire day so if you don't arrive until the afternoon, you will still have a comfortable shaded area for your personal use at any time. You can also enquire about same-day availability when you arrive at the water park.
Please come back and visit us if you have any further questions. We will be happy to help you!
