What day on the May 9th Disney destiny cruise is Pirate night scheduled?

    Ahoy there, Janice!

I’m so happy to welcome you back aboard planDisney, and thank you so much for sending your question our way! Your sailing on the all-new Disney Destiny is right around the corner…how exciting is that? You must be counting down the days! I haven’t had the chance to sail on her just yet, but it’s high on my list. A few of my fellow planDisney pals already have, and they’ve had nothing but amazing things to say about their experience.

Your Western Caribbean itinerary sounds like an absolute blast! With a few relaxing days at sea to soak in everything the ship has to offer, plus a stop at Disney’s private island, Castaway Cay, you’re in for such a fun and memorable adventure.

I completely understand wanting to know what the themed nights look like ahead of your cruise! Having a sneak peek makes it so much easier to pack, coordinate outfits, and get excited for those fun, photo-worthy evenings onboard. While onboard entertainment and special events can always change a bit, I’m happy to share what’s currently expected for your sailing so you have a helpful idea of what to plan for.

Night One – Cruise Casual: Your first night is all about easing into vacation mode. Most Guests keep things comfortable and laid-back, which makes it easy to explore the ship, get settled, and enjoy that exciting first dinner at sea.

Night Two – Optional Dress-Up: If you’re in the mood to dress things up a bit, this is your night! Some Guests go for cocktail attire or something a little more elevated, while others keep it simple. Just go with whatever feels fun and comfortable for you.

Night Three – Pirate Night: Get ready for one of the most fun nights of the cruise! Pirate Night brings themed dining, festive activities, and an energetic deck party. It all builds up to a spectacular celebration under the stars!

Nights Four & Five – Cruise Casual: The final evenings return to a relaxed, casual vibe. It’s the perfect time to unwind, revisit your favorite spots on the ship, enjoy a leisurely dinner, and soak in those last magical moments before heading home…or maybe even start dreaming about your next cruise

Before you arrive at the port, be sure to download the Disney Cruise Line Navigator app on your phone. Once you’re onboard, it quickly becomes your go-to resource for the entire trip. You’ll be able to check daily schedules, browse entertainment options, find dining details, and stay up to date on any important announcements. It’s incredibly convenient…almost like having your own personalized cruise planner right in your pocket!

Janice, before I sail off, I wanted to share the latest post from Disney Cruise Line on Instagram. If you haven’t seen it yet, you might want to grab a tissue or two...it’s definitely an emotional one! Thanks so much for cruising by planDisney!

    Seas the day,
