Hi, We have a 1 day hopper pass for Monday December 9th. I have a few questions. How does that work? I read I have to make a reservation at a park first. Where do I do that? How do I do I book ride times? we have wristbands from 2018, will they still work

Hi Tracy! Thanks for visiting planDisney.

Guests with a date-based admission ticket to the Walt Disney World Resort no longer need a theme park reservation at this time, while other tickets still require them. It sounds like you have a 1-day date-based ticket, in which case you should be good to go. However, we can check to make sure, and I'm happy to walk you through it.

Log in to your MyDisney account and visit the Theme Park Reservation System page on the Walt Disney World Resort website. From this page, Guests can make or modify an existing theme park reservation. You can also check to make sure your admission ticket doesn't need one. Click the "Make or Modify Theme Park Reservations" button. As you follow the onscreen instructions, you can make or modify a theme park reservation depending on availability if your ticket requires a reservation, or if you have a date-based ticket linked to the account, you'll see a notice that your ticket type doesn't require a reservation. That's because you selected your park day when purchasing your 1-day admission ticket, which is priced by day.

Your MagicBands are still supported at the Walt Disney World Resort, but if they aren't the new interactive bands, you won't find them lighting up or buzzing along as they interact with elements in the parks. MagicBand+ brings an extra layer of magic to your park experience, as well as being a convenient hands-free method to scan into the parks, Lightning Lane Entrances, and pay for many products and services. My family really loves them.

There is a chance that your older bands, while great at lasting, could have run out of power by this time. If you arrive and find that your bands no longer are functional, you can purchase a new band in many locations, including many Walt Disney World Resort Hotel merchandise locations. Unfortunately, there's no way to test the bands at home and they don't have replaceable batteries, but it is a quick fix when you arrive.

While you can't use your bands to book Lightning Lane Entrance return times, you can redeem them with your bands! That makes breezing into the Lightning Lane Entrance during your window even quicker. If you have Lightning Lane Passes, you'll select your Attraction and return window from the available times using the My Disney Experience app. This handy tool is great for planning, checking wait times, mobile ordering food and beverages, and more. Download and play around in the app ahead of your arrival to find all the features. Being comfortable with its functions will improve your park day.

    I hope this helps!
