Where would it be best to stay for a 5 day trip with intent to cover all 4 theme parks for a family of 3. Wondering how to move across to the different theme parks, do we stay put in one hotel or change every night?

Hi Deepa! Thanks for visiting planDisney.

I have good news for you! Whichever Walt Disney World Resort Hotel you select, you will have access to complimentary transportation options that will get you from your hotel to all the theme parks. You won't need a car and you won't need to worry about parking. How magical is that?

So, how does it work? At this time, you'll find clearly marked pick-up locations at your hotel and the parks. At fairly regular intervals you'll find your method of transportation arriving at these spots ready to get you where you need to go. You'll be able to enjoy transportation starting 45 minutes ahead of park time and up to 1 hour after park closing. Depending on where you're staying and where you're headed, you might hop on an air-conditioned bus, take a ferry, board a water taxi, fly overhead on the Disney Skyliner, or speed along the famous Walt Disney World Monorail System.

So, there's no need to change hotels, because they all offer fantastic transportation options. But some hotels are closer to certain parks than others. If you intend on spending more time at one park, this might be your guiding option when selecting a hotel. For example, we often dine at night in EPCOT, so we like to choose a hotel in the EPCOT area. These hotels enjoy walking access to EPCOT, which makes the end of the evening quick and convenient. To select from hotels in a certain area, click the "Resort Location" dropdown menu and click the park you'd prefer to be located nearby during your stay.

Perhaps you have a preferred method of transport. On our most recent trip, my kids wanted to spend more time enjoying the Disney Monorail Transportation, so we chose Disney's Contemporary Resort, which has access to this iconic form of transportation to the Magic Kingdom Park, other select resorts, and EPCOT. Plus, there's a walking path that will take you to Magic Kingdom Park, which is also very convenient. You can filter for "Monorail" and "Skyliner" resorts by clicking the "Resort Characteristics" dropdown menu, and you'll also find a full list of transportation options for each hotel under the "Amenities" tab when viewing that hotel's details. For example, Disney's Grand Floridian Resort & Spa currently offers its Guests access to three forms of transportation to the parks: Disney Monorail Transportation, bus, and watercraft.

    I hope this helps!
