Linda from MD Asked Please note that experiences, policies, pricing and other offerings are subject to change and may have changed since the date of this answer.

We are on a 7day cruise to Alaska out of Vancouver. We have a 10:30-10:45 boarding time. How early can we drop off luggage at the port so we can tour the area before boarding?

    Welcome aboard, Linda!

Thanks for sailing by planDisney with your Disney Cruise Line planning question!

Your magnificent Alaskan vacation is just a few short weeks away and I know you must be excited. You are fortunate to have an earlier Port Arrival Time. Once you complete the in-person check-in, you will be given a Boarding Group number. You will hopefully be on the ship soon after so you can enjoy all the amazing amenities onboard. I like to explore the ship and then feast at the Rotational Dining restaurant offering table service lunch on embarkation day.

Unfortunately, there is no place to store luggage at the port and you will not be permitted to drop off luggage prior to your Port Arrival Time. I know you were hoping for a different answer, Linda. I'm not sure what your plans are for your visit to Vancouver, but I hope you find time to explore the lovely area.

As you are thinking about luggage, don't forget to place your Disney Cruise Line luggage tags on your checked bags when you arrive at the port terminal. Also, remember to pack your boarding documents, medications and valuables in a carry-on bag. I also like to include anything I might need before my luggage arrives at my stateroom, which could be a few hours after you board.

Linda, you and your family are going to have an awesome time taking in the majestic scenery of Alaska and, hopefully, meeting Captain Mickey in his fisherman gear! Be sure to tell him I said "Ahoy!"

    Wishing you many magical memories,
    Shannon
