Hi there, Deann! Thanks for stopping by planDisney with your question!
You’re so smart to plan ahead, especially when it comes to mobility. Did you know that Walt Disney World Resort is about the size of San Francisco? Even though
Magic Kingdom is the smallest of the four theme parks, don’t let that fool you—it’s easy to rack up 6 or more miles of walking in a single day!
Electric Conveyance Vehicles (ECVs) are available to rent at all the theme parks, water parks, and Disney Springs. You’ll find the rental area near the park entrance, making it super convenient to pick one up and get on your way. Just keep in mind that ECVs are first-come, first-served and can’t be reserved ahead of time. To be safe, I usually recommend arriving within the first hour or two after park opening, especially on busier days. And great news—yes, you and your daughter can take turns using one rental ECV throughout the day. Just note that the driver must be at least 18 years old to operate it.
If you’re planning to park hop, the process is pretty simple. When you leave Magic Kingdom, just return your ECV and hold onto your rental receipt. Once you arrive at your next park, show your receipt at the rental area, and they’ll set you up with a new vehicle at no additional cost. It’s one flat fee per day, no matter how many parks you visit. Just a heads-up...ECVs can sell out, so there’s a chance the next park might not have one available when you arrive.
If you’re looking for even more convenience, you might consider renting an ECV for the length of your stay. Disney’s Featured Provider, ScooterBug, delivers right to your Disney Resort hotel. The best part? You don’t need to be there for the drop-off or pick-up—they’ll coordinate everything with the front desk.
I hope this helps as you plan your magical adventure, Deann! If you have any other questions, feel free to reach out again. Have a wonderful time making memories with your daughter!
