Me and my daughter have some questions about our trip. It’s for her 16th birthday and she paid for it so there’s a very low budget for park tickets. So, we’re asking how to get park tickets for a very low price. If it helps her dad is in law enforcement.

    Hi there, friend!

First off, a big congratulations to your daughter for planning such a special trip for her 16th birthday! It's wonderful that she’s taking charge, and I’m sure this will be a birthday to remember. Don’t forget to have her stop by the front desk of your Disney Resorts Collection hotel, a Guest Relations window at the Theme Parks, or many merchandise locations to get her celebration button personalized for her Sweet 16!

I understand that you're looking for ways to make the most of your budget. One of the best places to start is the Special Offers, Deals & Discounts page on the Walt Disney World website. Disney often provides seasonal promotions and discounts that can make park tickets more affordable. Currently, there are two ticket offers through September 22nd and 24th that are a great deal in my opinion: a 4-Day, 4-Park Magic Ticket and a Special 3-Day, 3-Park Ticket to Disney’s Hollywood Studios, Disney’s Animal Kingdom, and EPCOT. While these might not work with your timing, it is an example of specials offered occasionally that could be a big help for your budget!

Another tip is to check any memberships you have—such as Costco or AAA—as they occasionally offer discounted tickets to Disney. Additionally, consider asking friends and family to give Disney gift cards as gifts for birthdays or other special occasions. These cards can be used toward purchasing park tickets, dining, or souvenirs.

When it comes to saving money inside the parks, there are a few strategies to stretch your budget even further. For example, you can bring your own snacks and meals into the parks. Pack a picnic lunch to enjoy in one of the beautiful park areas and save your dollars for some Disney treats. Also, ordering groceries from a delivery service to your hotel is a great way to have affordable meals and snacks on hand, which means you can use your budget for the experiences and souvenirs that matter most to you.

Another cost-saving idea is to plan your visit on weekdays or during off-peak times of the year when ticket prices might be lower and crowds lighter. This can not only save money but also make your visit more enjoyable with shorter wait times for attractions. Consider spending some days exploring Disney Springs or visiting the resorts, where you can find plenty of entertainment, shopping, and dining without needing a park ticket.

Lastly, please extend my heartfelt thanks to your husband for his service in law enforcement. I truly appreciate his dedication, and I wish him continued health and safety. I hope you and your daughter have an amazing birthday celebration at The Most Magical Place On Earth!
