My family is staying at the Pop Century resort but there is no availability for my son, I was looking at the Disney Wyndham Bonnet creek because it is resonably priced, how easy would it be to travel between the two by car?

    Hi Katherine, welcome to planDisney!

Planning a visit to the Walt Disney Resort with your extended family is such a fun and memorable vacation. My family has done this on two occasions with both sets of grandparents, and those visits will always hold a special place in our hearts.

I understand the need to find a convenient option for your son while staying within your budget. If you decide to have him stay at Wyndham Bonnet Creek, you’ll find it's pretty close to Disney’s Pop Century Resort, only about a 10-minute drive, depending on traffic. Traveling between the two by car is pretty straightforward, and your son should be able to park at your resort, but remember that parking fees might apply if he chooses to also drive to the parks. When he arrives at your resort, he should tell the Cast Member at the security checkpoint that he is visiting family, provide your room number, and be prepared to provide identification. To make it more seamless, I suggest swinging like Tarzan through the jungle to the front desk to have them add a note to your reservation.

If you’re looking for something a bit more convenient where your son wouldn't need a car to get around, I recommend checking out some other Disney Resorts Collection hotels like Disney’s Art of Animation Resort, Disney’s Caribbean Beach Resort, or Disney’s Riviera Resort. All three of these resorts are connected to the Disney Skyliner, which makes traveling between them and Pop Century a breeze. With the Skyliner, you can quickly and easily hop between resorts and enjoy the beautiful views from above while you're at it!

Another great option to consider is one of the Walt Disney World Official Hotels in the Disney Springs area. If your son stays at one of these hotels, he could walk to Disney Springs and take advantage of the complimentary Disney transportation to Pop Century Resort. This way, he could enjoy the fun and convenience of Disney Springs while still having easy access to meet up with the rest of the family.

I hope these suggestions help you find the perfect solution for your family's stay. No matter what you choose, I’m sure you’ll have an incredible time making memories together!

    See you real soon,
    Brent
