Disney PhotoPass photos to your account, and even make purchases if you stay in a Disney Resort hotel. Their colorful designs and customizable options make them practical and add a bit of extra Disney fun to your trip.
Regarding your question, MagicBands are linked to individual MyDisney profiles and remain connected to the account they were initially associated with. If your daughter is under 13 years old and doesn’t have her own MyDisney account, it’s likely that a profile was created for her and managed under your friend’s Family & Friends List. In this case, the MagicBand cannot be transferred to your account. However, your daughter’s profile can be shared with you. To do this, the friend can log into their
My Disney Experience account, navigate to their Family & Friends List, add your profile to their list, then open your profile and select “Connect My Manage Guests” to allow you to make plans for the Guests they manage (your daughter in this case).
Once the profile is linked to your account, you can manage your daughter’s plans moving forward. Please note that her existing MagicBand will remain tied to the original account and cannot be re-linked to yours. For your upcoming trip, you may want to consider having your daughter’s current profile deleted, creating a new profile under your Family & Friends list, and then purchasing a new MagicBand so you can completely control it. These are available online, in the My Disney Experience app, or at merchandise locations throughout the Walt Disney World Resort, my favorite shopping location being
