Hi Rocio!
Welcome to planDisney! Although I love using my MagicBand+ in the theme parks, I may be guilty of leaving my MagicBand+ behind a time or two as I excitedly left my Disney resort in the morning! It’s great to have a
MagicMobile Pass set up in advance and ready to use as an option.
It sounds like you have your family linked through your
Family & Friends List, and their tickets have been assigned to their accounts. If the members of your Family & Friends List opt in to sharing plans, their tickets will appear under your “Tickets and Passes” section. You can only set up a MagicMobile Pass for someone else if you are managing their account. For example, I manage my children’s accounts because they are too young to have their own My Disney accounts. However, my husband has his own account, and we are linked through the Family & Friends List.
The members of your travel party can choose to set up their own MagicMobile Passes in their accounts and share them with you. As you saw in your account, your travel party can go to “Set Up MagicMobile Entry” in the My Disney Experience app and choose “Select Passes to Share.” Then, they can select their MagicMobile Pass and choose to “Share via Messages” and send the pass to you. This option is only available on eligible iPhone and Apple Watch devices. When you receive the message you can choose to add the pass to your Apple Wallet.
Once you have your MagicMobile Passes set up, you can use them to enter the theme parks, redeem
Lightning Lane Passes, collect
PhotoPass photos, and
if you have a payment on file, you can even charge food and merchandise purchases to your Disney Resort room. Since I am usually holding my phone to snap a quick photo after entering the theme parks, it's convenient to use the MagicMobile Pass while my phone is out!
I hope this was helpful, Rocio! If you have any future questions, please come back and see us again at
planDisney!
