As you no longer give magic bands with bookings (which I think is a real shame as you literally give nothing now for booking a hotel) how will my photos on rides appear correctly as I won't be transmitting any signal from a magic band

    Hi, there!

Welcome to planDisney, Rachel. I'm so glad you stopped by! It looks like you're planning to visit the Walt Disney World Resort next summer. How exciting! It's the perfect time to enjoy the you-may-get-wet attractions in the theme parks and the uniquely-themed pools at your Disney Resort hotel.

I'm the biggest fan of the Disney Resorts Collection. When you stay at a Disney Resort hotel, you can enjoy awesome benefits like Early Theme Park Entry and complimentary transportation throughout the Walt Disney World Resort. And starting in 2025, Guests can take advantage of complimentary water park admission on check-in day! But the best part about staying at a Disney Resort hotel? You're immersed in the magic of Disney storytelling, even after you've left the theme parks. That's a priceless perk for me and my family!

You ask an excellent question about linking your Disney PhotoPass attraction photos and videos to your My Disney Experience account. I'm pleased to tell you that you certainly don't need to wear a MagicBand to link those digital downloads! You need only your mobile device. Here are the directions as listed on the Disney PhotoPass attraction photos and videos page on the Walt Disney World Resort website:

If you have an iOS device:
     - Sign in to the My Disney Experience app
     - Enable Bluetooth permissions for the app
     - Keep your device with you, safely stored in your bag, pocket or attraction vehicle compartment

If you have an Android device:
    - Sign into the My Disney Experience app
    - Enable Location Permissions for the app
    - Turn off Power Saver Mode
    - Keep your device with you, safely stored in your bag, pocket, or attraction vehicle compartment

Are you familiar with Disney MagicMobile Service? A Disney MagicMobile Pass works much like a MagicBand. My husband and son prefer not to wear MagicBands, so they use their mobile devices to open our Disney Resort hotel room door, tap into the turnstiles at the theme parks, and link their Disney PhotoPass photos.

I hope this was helpful, Rachel. Please let us know if you have any other questions about your visit to the Walt Disney World Resort! We'd love to help you plan a magical stay.
