Hi Linda, and thanks for bringing your question to planDisney. I’d be happy to help get your daughter set up with a MyDisney account so she can start getting involved in trip planning and even navigate the parks on her own!
If your daughter is 13 years of age or older, she can create her own MyDisney account and log into the
My Disney Experience app on her phone. This will let her book and modify
Lightning Lane selections, place
mobile food orders, and open her
Disney Resort hotel room door.
Having her own MyDisney account will also let your daughter unlock a whole new world of fun through the
Play Disney Parks app. My family uses that app to play games while we’re waiting in attraction queues, explore EPCOT with the
DuckTales World Showcase Adventure, and
transform our phones into datapads to complete missions and earn virtual badges in Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge. If she has a
MagicBand+, she can also play the
Batuu Bounty Hunters game.
Since you currently manage your daughter’s profile, you’ll need to invite her to take control of her profile through the Disney World website. Go to your
Family & Friends List, where you’ll see your daughter’s name under Guests You Manage towards the top of the page. Click Manage and you’ll see the option to invite your daughter to sign in and plan on her own (this will only show up if your daughter is 13 years of age or older). When you press the Invite button, add your daughter’s email address and send the invitation.
Once your daughter follows the instructions in the email she receives, she'll be all set! I hope she has lots of fun with her new MyDisney account. If you have any other questions, don’t hesitate to visit us again at planDisney!
