Over what dates will Rock ‘n’ Roller coaster be closed? Will it be open late June/early July?

    Hi Maddie!

Thanks for visiting planDisney!  There are some SUPER exciting things coming to Hollywood Studios in the future, so let’s chat about what to expect.

While we know that the Muppets are planning to take over Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster at some point, no closing date for Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster has been announced yet. So, unfortunately, I’m not sure if it will be open in late June/early July or not.

I’d keep an eye on Disney Parks Blog for up-to-date information. Any ride closures will also be listed on the Hours & Events Calendar once it’s been announced.  And I’ve found that information on the specific attraction page online or on the My Disney Experience app after the announcement, as well.

Now, let’s get to what we do know! Disney Parks Blog recently shared that the Grand Avenue area at Hollywood Studios (where the Muppets currently reside) will begin phased closures in May to make way for a Monsters, Inc. Land.

The last day to dine at Mama Melrose’s will be on May 10, 2025. And Muppet*Vision 3D and PizzeRizzo will close on June 8, 2025 (with a final opening day of June 7, 2025). So, if your trip is toward the end of June, it’s good to note that those areas will not be available during your vacation.

Let us know if you have any other questions as you continue to plan! In the meantime, I’ll keep my fingers crossed that you’ll be able to ride Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster before it closes for refurbishment!
