Welcome to planDisney, Edith!
I feel honored that you've brought your question to me here! From one Southern Californian to another, I couldn't be more delighted to share some tips with you.
Ah, the
Blue Bayou Restaurant! Nestled in the heart of New Orleans Square. Walt Disney himself envisioned it as a place where the food and atmosphere become the star of the show, and
oh boy, does it deliver! The ambiance, the flavors, it's all a feast for the senses, isn't it?
Securing a reservation at Blue Bayou can sometimes feel like
finding a hidden Mickey, but I've got a few tricks up my sleeve. Booking in advance is key, and the resort opens up reservations
60 days in advance. But since your visit is quickly approaching, let me tell you about my pal,
Panelist Elaine's recent success at getting a table as a walk-up guest. Since the restaurant opens daily at 11 am, and there is no official wait list, she made sure to be standing at the restaurant's entrance by 10:30 am. She got seated right away for lunch service!
And Edith, remember that guests' plans change all the time, and guests have up to 2 hours before their reservation time to cancel, so if you keep checking, even on the day of your visit, you might just find a spot magically open up.
Last month, my family and I stayed at
Disney's Grand Californian Hotel & Spa. I learned that one of the privileges of staying at a
Disneyland Resort Hotel is that the friendly hotel Cast Members can help you secure reservations for dining as well as
Events & Tours during your stay. Just let someone at the front desk know what plans you're dreaming of, and they'll do their best to make your wishes come true!
Well, I hope this information comes in handy for planning your special day, Edith. I want to thank you again for bringing your question to me. Hearing from guests like you is such a
Joy! If you have any more questions or would like more of
my favorite tips, please
keep in touch!
You've got a friend in me, Danielle
