Julie from ON Asked Please note that experiences, policies, pricing and other offerings are subject to change and may have changed since the date of this answer.

Was on right at 6PST to book Easter brunch (April 9) at Storytellers Cafe. The only brunch available was Lamplight Lounge. I tried breakfast, a time, and the restaurant directly but nothing. Is it being held back because it’s a special day?

    Welcome back, Julie!

Thanks for visiting us here at planDisney! Springtime at the Disneyland Resort is so beautiful, I'm thrilled that you're planning a visit. It's just around the corner!

Dining availability changes all the time, so if you didn't get a reservation at Storytellers Cafe my first recommendation is to keep checking! This morning I took a peek and saw some limited brunch availability on April 9 for a party of 4, and lots of options later in the day. So reservations are currently being accepted!

For future reference, dining reservations typically open 60 days in advance at 6 AM EST, so in California that would be 3 AM PST. It's a bit of an early wake-up call, but for large groups and popular dining locations it's worth skipping a little sleep! Sometimes reservations don't open right at that time, so if I don't see any availability at all in my early morning hunting then I set an alarm to look again a couple of hours later. Sometimes it takes a couple of days for reservations to become available, so you might have to keep checking back.

Because I find myself booking early in the morning and checking back often, I like to use the Disneyland Mobile App to help me book dining reservations wherever I am. Booking breakfast in bed isn't quite as good as eating breakfast in bed, but it's better than getting up! Here's how to book dining in the app:

    • Open the app and tap the "+" symbol.
    • Select your party size.
    • Select the day you want to search for dining reservations.
    • Choose the time you want to search for. (Tip: selecting "Breakfast" "Brunch" "Lunch" or "Dinner" will give you more results than a specific time).
    • Pick a dining location in the list and tap on the time you want for your reservation.
    • Choose any optional add-on features, or select "Skip".
    • Enter your contact information, provide a credit card to hold the reservation, add any dietary requests, and check that you have read and agree to the Guest Policies.
    • "Book Now" and you're done!
When you're signed into your account on the mobile app then the contact and payment information tied to your account is automatically entered, so it's actually pretty quick to book dining reservations this way!

I'm sending you all the extra pixie dust I've got, Julie, and I hope you can secure a brunch reservation for your party! Please send me a note if you have more questions about your upcoming trip, I would be happy to help!

    Keep moving forward!
