Can we get a credit for a future Disneyland rather than Dianey World if we can’t make it on Friday due to illness?

Hi, Dawn, and welcome to planDisney! I hope everyone in your family is well in the New Year, but it sounds like your upcoming Walt Disney World Resort visit might be on hold. Let's look at some options to keep the magic going!

Unfortunately, admission and stays at Walt Disney World Resort in Florida and Disneyland Resort in California are not interchangeable. Theme park tickets and resort hotels can't be reassigned from one coast to the other. But depending on how you booked your trip, you might have some options if you cannot head to Orlando this week.

My best tip is to call Existing Tickets as soon as possible. They can see if you booked your visit as a vacation package or à la carte and offer suggestions accordingly. If your theme park tickets haven't been activated, you can possibly transfer them to a family member, for example. Or you can hang on to the tickets because they never lose the value you paid for them. And if you booked a Disney Resort Hotel, you might be able to move your reservation to a future date to ensure you can travel when everyone in your party is feeling their best.

Dawn, I'm sending pixie dust and Disney magic so that you can travel to the Most Magical Place on Earth. Here's to health and happiness in 2024! Stop by planDisney anytime.

    Magic awaits,
    Elaine
