Hi Brittany! Thanks for bringing your question to planDisney.
The Disneyland Resort is a magical setting to
start your happily ever after. I have good news for you: There is no cost involved in popping the question while you're visiting the parks. While you're free to enhance the day with a
dining reservation at one of the many delicious table service options, purchase bride and groom-themed merchandise, or even
book spa treatments to celebrate the day, these are all optional, and the only thing you need to propose is the two of you!
There are plenty of beautiful spots to choose from, including Sleeping Beauty Castle, which is an icon. But I've always thought the backdrop at Cars Land would be a really gorgeous location! Or maybe you're Force sensitive and Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge calls to you. Some locations feature
Disney PhotoPass photographers, who could capture the moment, and currently, photo downloads are included with your purchase of
Lightning Lane Passes, which is a fantastic value.
If you do want to celebrate your engagement with a romantic meal, I have a few suggestions. Blue Bayou Restaurant in New Orleans Square at Disneyland Park is set in perpetual twilight, and with the boats drifting by, it's about as romantic a spot as you'll find in the parks! Over in Disney California Adventure Park, my family's favorite fine dining location is Carthay Circle Restaurant on Buena Vista Street. It has retro Hollywood vibes, a delicious menu, and a great wine selection. Finally, you can't go wrong with anything you order at Napa Rose in the gorgeous setting of Disney's Grand Californian Hotel & Spa. The food is as beautifully presented as it is tasty. It's truly a foodie dream! All these locations are popular due to their unique theming and menus. Make your reservations as early as possible. Most locations open their bookings 60 days out. Availability is not guaranteed.
Congratulations on your upcoming special moment!
Elizabeth
