Hi I am coming with my husband in June for my birthday.. on my the day of my birthday we will have dinner at Ohanas.. would they allow me a window seat for my special day to see the fireworks

Aloha, David, and welcome to planDisney! I love 'Ohana and the all-you-care-to-enjoy offerings they serve there. One time I dined there and joked with my wife that I could "eat 100 shrimp," and while I did eat quite a few, I ultimately fell short of my goal. I can think of few restaurants at Walt Disney World better suited to celebrate a birthday, especially since this location offers views of Cinderella Castle and Happily Ever After in the evenings. I'd be happy to help answer your questions about seating locations at this restaurant.

When you arrive to check in at the host stand you can inform the Cast Member that you are celebrating your birthday and would like a seat by the windows, if possible. They will make a note of your request and may be able to grant it depending on the availability of such seating arrangements in the restaurant. When I have made requests like this in the past I have been asked if I was comfortable waiting for a period of time until my requested seating location opened up. This might be offered to you when you arrive depending on factors like how many people are waiting for tables and how many diners are already seated. I want to emphasize that Cast Members will try to honor your request, but there is no guarantee that it will be fulfilled.

That being said, Disney's Polynesian Village Resort is a prime location for fireworks views, no matter where you stand! I have enjoyed fireworks shows and the Electrical Water Pageant from the beach near the Lava Pool at this resort. Depending on your dining reservation time, you may be able to complete your meal and head down to the beach prior to the show. If you end up seated away from the windows, you can ask your server for speedy service and they may be able to accommodate you.

One final birthday tip before I go: make sure to get your "Happy Birthday" celebration button from the front desk of your resort hotel! This is the best way to let everyone around you know that it's your special day.

I'm wishing you a fantastic birthday and a wonderful visit to Disney World, David! Have the best time with your husband enjoying a delicious meal and making cherished memories together.

    Stay magical,
    Scott
