Hi, I am coming with my family to EPCOT on Friday 26th May and we are looking to dine at the Space 220 Centauri Space Station. It seems that times are unavailable. Is there anything that I can do about this, or join a standby line?

Hi Donna, and welcome to planDisney!

Space 220 Restaurant is an out-of-this-world experience that I cannot wait to visit. EPCOT is one of my favorite theme parks at Walt Disney World Resort, so I'm sure that blasting off to the Centauri Space Station would elevate its rank even higher for me. Donna, I am happy to provide some tips to make your dream to venture into space come true!

As you can see, the Space 220 Restaurant is a bit difficult to book--but that's because its cuisine is super yummy. My first tip to land an advance dining reservation is to check for openings in the My Disney Experience app or the Walt Disney World website as often as possible.

Here are two other ways that my family gets those hard-to-get reservations:

First, as I mentioned above, try via the My Disney Experience app (not just the website). Maybe I'm spacing out, but it seems that dining availability is more plentiful on the app.

Secondly, I recommend that you check on the same day of your theme park reservation for EPCOT. Fellow Guests change their plans all of the time, and because of the 2-hour cancellation window, many will drop their tickets to dine among the stars. This is perfect for your family to scoop them up before they get lost in space. And yes, at the start of park hours, visit the restaurant's check-in podium to see if you can get a call-back time that way.
