Hiya Mark,
Welcome back to
planDisney! I'm so sorry that Disney's Magic Express's retirement has disrupted your upcoming vacation plans. Don't fear, though; after all, Yoda says that is a clear path to the dark side. You do have
options to get you and your family to
Disney's All-Star Sports Resort.
Mark, I typically prefer to rent a car because I travel with so much luggage (a consequence of traveling with a toddler), but if you would prefer a service similar to Disney's Magic Express, I recommend getting a reservation for Mears Connect Driven by Sunshine. Like Disney's Magic Express, Mears Connect Driven by Sunshine is a 24/7 service that will pick you up from the exact location that Disney's Magic Express used to depart. So, if you are used to Disney's Magic Express, you can easily find it. Then, similarly to Disney's Magic Express, you will be directed to a bus based on your resort hotel and on your way. While you can book your seats at Orlando International Airport, I recommend booking your seats in advance for peace of mind. One fun thing about Mears Connect Driven by Sunshine is that they also offer an Express option for those Guests wanting to ensure that they are the first stop after leaving the airport (and the last stop on the return). As I mentioned, I have a toddler, so I would definitely be tempted to pay for this service to save a meltdown or two.
Mark, if Mears Connect Driven by Sunshine isn't what you were looking for, then there are a lot of rideshare services available at Orlando International Airport. Since Orlando International Airport is such a large hub for travel, there is always availability, no matter when you arrive at the airport. That said, with so many bags, I recommend using the option only if you can book in advance. Please come back and see us if you need anything else.
Happy Planning,
Ashley F.
