What Christmas plan Can you recommend for a Family with a toddler and a big brother? Consider that it includes an older adult.

Happy Holidays, Sherley! I am sending festive greetings to you as you plan your Christmas vacation to Walt Disney World Resort. The holiday season is one of my favorite times to visit, as the parks and resorts are decked out with wreaths, lights, trees, ornaments, and other holly-jolly trimmings. There is so much to do and see around the holidays, and I'd be happy to help you build an enchanting itinerary to celebrate the most wonderful time of the year in The Most Magical Place on Earth.

If you're seeking to explore all the merry offerings across the parks and resorts, then the holiday overview page is a great place to start. I'm sure some of the events, entertainment, and food listed there will catch your eye, and that will help you start the list of can't-miss experiences for your family. Disney has some suggested holiday fun for families, and I have to agree with many of these top choices, especially the Holiday Storytellers around World Showcase at EPCOT, the Merry Menagerie at Animal Kingdom, and Mickey's Once Upon a Christmastime Parade at Magic Kingdom. Couple this list with the 3-Step Planning Guide for Families and you're well on your way to a fantastic vacation! And of course, no holiday visit is complete without a visit with the big man himself, Santa Claus.

There are two parties available at Disney World during the holidays: Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party at Magic Kingdom and Disney Jollywood Nights at Disney's Hollywood Studios. These are very popular events, and many dates completely sell out. Since you're traveling with small children, I want you to be aware that these parties run very late into the evening, ending at midnight or later. I have two children, ages 6 and 3, and we have not yet attended a party together as a family since midnight is a late night for them. I think heading to the EPCOT International Festival of the Holidays is a better choice for young families since you have the whole day to enjoy the seasonal offerings, like the Holiday Cookie Stroll and Olaf’s Holiday Tradition Expedition Scavenger Hunt.

Don't forget to stop by Disney Springs during your visit as well! My family absolutely loves the Christmas Tree Stroll that is displayed each year, and we stock up on holiday merchandise at World of Disney and Disney's Days of Christmas.

Ok, Sherley! It's time to make your list and check it twice to build the perfect Christmas visit to Disney World! If you have questions or are looking for tips or suggestions as you study the holiday offerings, parties, and entertainment, please reach out to us again! I'll be rehearsing holiday songs with the planDisney Carolers, but will certainly step away to get you an answer. Happy planning!
