Welcome to planDisney, Sarah. I'm excited to answer your question today!
I'm happy to report that children are welcome at most lounges around the
Walt Disney World Resort, with a few exceptions like
Trader Sam's Grog Grotto at
Disney's Polynesian Village Resort after 8:00 p.m. But since the resort is such a family-friendly place, there are not many locations in general that limit children from joining you. Typically, if there is a minimum age, it would be listed on the lounge's page of the website. All that being said, kids are not allowed to sit at the bar in these lounges and even though they are welcome at most of these locations, many of these lounges are designed for adults so depending on the venue, not every child may be happy to spend a lot of time in them!
Two lounges often compete for my favorite at the resort and they are both very different from each other. I cannot get enough of the
Enchanted Rose Lounge at
Disney's Grand Floridian Resort & Spa. It is an absolutely beautiful space inspired by Disney's live-action
Beauty and the Beast. But it's not just a beautiful venue with so many hidden details from the movie...it's also got some great cocktails and food. I love the Lavender Fog, which my friend
Amy C. introduced me to, and my friend
Lauren M.'s favorite House-made Truffle Fries are to die for! And then there's
Nomad Lounge in
Disney's Animal Kingdom Theme Park. For some reason, I always ask the server what drink they recommend when I dine here. They are all so good that I can't decide. And the Tiffins Bread Service and the Churros here are both outstanding and a must-order for me!
Sarah, I hope you enjoy your "lounge crawl" and that your kids enjoy it too! Just check each lounge's page to be sure there's no mention of minimum age, but you'll find that it's pretty rare to have one!
If you have any other questions,
I'm always happy to help.
Don't be deceived by appearances, for beauty is found within,
