Hi Layne,
Welcome to planDisney! We are glad you sailed by with your question. Planning for a Disney Cruise Line vacation is our favorite thing to do, so let's get going!
If you would like Disney Cruise Line to
handle your flight arrangements, you should
call and speak with a Disney Cruise Line Reservation Specialist. They can further simplify your planning by booking your
ground transportation and
hotel stay, so be sure to discuss these options with the friendly agent, too!
If you prefer to book your air travel, you should look for flights arriving at Vancouver International Airport (YVR). It is strongly recommended that you arrive the day before your cruise departs Vancouver in case there are issues with your flight travel. Plus, this gives you some time to explore the city of
Vancouver, which is lovely!
For your Alaskan cruise, I encourage you to
pack layers and bring a rain jacket, just in case. I wouldn't want a little weather to put a damper on your adventures. There are complimentary blankets and hot chocolate (plus tea and coffee) on the pool deck so you can be warm and toasty while taking in the amazing scenery!
I hope this information helps you plan, Layne. Please stop by planDisney any time with other questions!
Wishing you many magical memories,
Shannon
