Hi Patricia,
Welcome to planDisney!
I am delighted to learn that you are planning a trip to the Walt Disney World Resort! It sounds like you are planning to rent an
electric conveyance vehicle (ECV) that may require charging at some point during your stay. Take some time to download and review the
theme park guide maps for Guests with Disabilities. Many ECV's use a standard electrical plug, so you should be able to plug it in and charge it in your room or anywhere with an outlet. Try plugging it in to charge it while at a dining location or a
First Aid Station.
If you have trouble finding a charging station, check with the cast members in
Guest Relations. Also check out this
answer from a fellow panelist Jana who had some suggestions for finding charging stations. Although you can bring your own ECV, there are
ECV Rentals in the theme parks and Disney Springs.
We rented an ECV on a prior visit and the process was easy to navigate. If you do rent from the parks, I suggest that you arrive early because ECVs are distributed on a first come, first serve basis. You could also try renting from the
Disney Featured Provider, ScooterBug.
Patricia, as you continue the
practically perfect planning, I hope you have booked a vacation package with a
Disney Resorts Collection hotel! Let the countdown begin!
Magic and memories,
Donyell
