Greetings, not-so-foolish Marissa! Thanks for stopping by the petrifying planDisney panel! As your ghost host, I'm
dying to help you plan your upcoming
Walt Disney World Resort visit. You'd like to zig when the ghouls zag, so let's talk about crowds at
Magic Kingdom Park during the scary season.
Only Madame Leota can see the future, so I can't predict how crowded the parks will be during your visit. Some of my panelist pals and I visited Magic Kingdom Park during the day when
Mickey's Not-So-Scary Halloween Party was scheduled, and crowds were pretty normal that day. We joined the virtual queue for
TRON Lightcycle / Run and found that wait times were average for standby queues.
Remember that everyone with the Park Hopper Option could come to Magic Kingdom first and then leave around 6:00 PM when the park closes to day guests. Knowing the headcount when you're there is nearly impossible, but I think the odds are good that the park will be a bit less crowded on a party day. I vote you don some vampire teeth and jump into the fray!
The best news is that you'll still see Halloween and autumn decor during the day. I love looking for all the pumpkins along Main Street, USA. Many
seasonal treats are also available all day, including my favorite Mickey-shaped Cheesecake at Casey's Corner. It's a scream!
Marissa, enjoy the hustle and bustle of the creepy crawlies at Halloween time! I think you'll have a howling vacation.
planDisney is always here to help, so
hurry baaaack!
Magic awaits,
Elaine
