I don't like roller-coaster type rides that drop and give g forces. does flight of passage feel like a roller-coaster?

    Hiya Hayley!

Welcome to planDisney! I totally understand not enjoying the feeling of dropping in a ride. It's one of the biggest reasons that I have never ridden The Twilight Zone Tower of Terror.  My favorite attraction vibe is more along the lines of Tomorrowland Transit Authority PeopleMover followed by Living with the Land

Avatar Flight of Passage is such a thrilling ride and I love how it magically transports guests to Pandora while atop a banshee! This is an attraction that I can handle with no issue. This is such an odd ride as guests sit atop a motorcycle-type ride vehicle that moves slightly around and even pulses as if it were a real animal. The giant screen combined with smells, wind, and some water effects makes it seem like you are truly experiencing some death-defying flights. However, the reality is that you are in a room still sitting on a vehicle that may tip you slightly forward and sideways. Every time I enjoy this attraction it does feel like I'm falling as if I was on a roller-coaster but I don't get a full stomach drop feeling. I just feel the exhilaration of leaping off the rock and diving into caves. I asked my son who is very "drop feeling sensitive" what he thought about Avatar Flight of Passage and he said he didn't feel the "drop feeling" but it was very realistic. If you want to give this ride a chance my best piece of advice is what I share with my kids. Just close your eyes if you feel scared. This ride tricks you so well with the amazing visuals and wind but anything scary is quickly hidden by just closing your eyes. Look around and see your neighbors are just sitting stationary next to you. The reality is very tame but the illusion is well done.

I hope that this helps and you can find a way to happily enjoy this attraction without any discomfort.

    Happy Planning!
