Hi Maria, and welcome to planDisney! This is the practically perfect time to visit Disney World, with the
EPCOT International Food & Wine Festival underway and all of the festive pumpkins on Main Street, U.S.A. So let’s make sure you have all the information needed to keep your electric vehicle charged!
I’m happy to confirm that you’ll find ChargePoint charging stations at all four theme parks and
Disney Springs. Just keep in mind that there are only a few per location, so you’ll have a better chance of finding an open spot if you arrive early in the morning or later in the afternoon, when other guests have left.
A Cast Member confirmed that currently you don’t have to move your car after it’s done charging at the theme parks, though they’d recommend doing so if possible so that another guest can use the spot. However, at Disney Springs, you do need to move your car within 20 minutes after it’s fully charged or you’ll incur an idle fee.
When you park, don’t forget about the Car Locator feature in the
My Disney Experience app. I’m usually so excited to be at the parks that I immediately forget where I left the car. With the
Car Locator feature, you can quickly record your parking spot, making it a breeze to find your vehicle at the end of a long park day.
If you’re planning to be at EPCOT next week, be sure to check out the
International Food & Wine Festival Foodie Guide on Disney Parks Blog. I always use it to preview the Global Marketplace menus so I can plan my snacking strategy!
I hope you have the most magical time at Disney World next week! And if you have any other questions, you’re always welcome back at planDisney.
