Bright Suns, Leah, and welcome back to planDisney! Making your own lightsaber and droid is such a special experience, and is among the coolest souvenirs you can bring home from Disney World! So I’d be happy to help with your
Savi’s Workshop and
Droid Depot reservations.
I chatted with a Cast Member, and they recommended
calling Disney World on the phone to modify your reservations. Currently, you’re not able to change Savi’s Workshop or Droid Depot bookings in the
My Disney Experience app or on the Disney World website.
My family loved building our droids, and I have a few tips to share. First, I’d recommend taking your time choosing droid parts from the conveyor belt. Once you make your selections, the rest of the building process goes quickly. So savor your time in the workshop!
If you’re like my family, you’ll be eager to take your droids for a spin. Look for an area across from Droid Depot with a large mat on the ground. It’s a safe spot for astromech units to roll around in Black Spire Outpost!
And when you’re done building your droids and lightsabers, be sure to find the
PhotoPass photographers throughout Batuu to get pictures with your new creations. The evening is the perfect time for epic nighttime shots with your glowing lightsabers, and the land is usually less crowded. If you’re interested in more time with a PhotoPass photographer, you can also book a personalized 20-minute
Capture Your Moment session.
Finally, download the
Play Disney Parks app because you can use it in Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge to complete missions, earn virtual badges, and translate Aurebesh signs around Batuu! And if you have a
MagicBand+, it connects with the Play Disney Parks app to play
Batuu Bounty Hunters. It’s a fun way to explore all of the nooks and crannies around Black Spire Outpost.
Safe journey to Batuu, and I hope you have the best day ever on planet! If you have any other questions, you’re always welcome back at planDisney.
