Hey there Keila,
Welcome to planDisney and thank you for your question! Happy 7 year anniversary - I'm happy to hear you're thinking of celebrating with a day in the Happiest Place on Earth! Even with just one day in the parks, you can absolutely still have an amazing time.
The very first thing I'd prioritize is grabbing "Happily Ever After" celebration buttons, which you can find at most checkout locations in stores around the Disneyland Resort parks. These will let everyone in the parks know you're celebrating your special day with your partner - and bonus points if you also get the matching
Happily Ever After Mickey Ear Hats to go with!
I think another top priority would be sharing a special meal together. There are many great options between both parks, but my favorite place in Disneyland Park is the
Blue Bayou Restaurant and at Disney California Adventure Park is the
Lamplight Lounge. If you're having trouble deciding on which park to spend time in during your visit, you can add the
Park Hopper option to your tickets so that you can hop between both parks starting at 11:00 AM. You could also consider purchasing a
Mickey Mouse Celebration Cake to go with your meal as well!
Alternatively - or in addition - to sharing your special meal, and depending on when you visit, you could also consider purchasing a
Fantasmic! Dining Package so you can view Fantasmic! from your table or a reserved viewing location.
Lastly, I would highly recommend purchasing the
Lightning Lane Multi Pass for you and your partner's tickets. No trip to the Disneyland Resort is complete without getting in some of your favorite attractions, of course, but the Lightning Lane Multi Pass also comes with the added benefit of unlimited digital downloads of your
Disney PhotoPass digital photos. That way, you can prioritize stopping at any and all of the Disney PhotoPass photographers you find throughout the day and end up with a brand-new album of professional photographs commemorating your special day.
Thanks again for your question, Keila! I hope you and your partner have so much fun making new magical memories at the Happiest Place on Earth.
Have a Magical Day,
Greg
