Hey there, Sanaa, and welcome back to planDisney! Planning a visit to Walt Disney World is always such a treat, and I'm so excited to help you make your visit as sweet as pie (or DOLE Whip, if that's more your style!).
One of my favorite things about Disney World is how easy it is to get around. Since you'll be staying off-property, you'll need to pay for parking at Magic Kingdom Park and Disney's Animal Kingdom Park. But since theme park transportation is complimentary for all guests, you won't pay to use the monorail, the ferry, or any other Disney World transportation (this includes water taxis, Disney buses, and the Disney Skyline
r).
Now, let's talk about your other questions. Sanaa, the beginning of May is one of my very favorite times to visit The Most Magical Place on Earth! The weather is generally pleasant, and the crowds are typically a little lower than you'll find other times of year. May also falls during the
EPCOT International Flower & Garden Festival, when EPCOT is at its most beautiful! Of course, June is also a wonderful time to go. Yes, it'll be a bit hotter, but Disney World often offers some special summertime experiences (like this year's
Cool KIDS' SUMMER!), which can make June a particularly magical time to visit.
Ready to talk crowds? In my experience, weekends tend to be slightly busier in the parks than weekdays. So when I have a choice, I usually opt to visit during the week. However, weekend crowds are usually still manageable, especially when you use
Lightning Lane,
Mobile Food Ordering, and
Advance Dining Reservations to your advantage (be sure to download the
My Disney Experience app to your phone so you can easily access these features!).
Speaking of Advance Dining Reservations, I simply have to mention one of my favorite restaurants:
Sanaa! Not only does it share its lovely name with you, but it also offers what I consider some of the best food on Disney World property!
Wishing you a marvelous and magical visit,
Allison
