It’s wonderful that a special someone has gifted you a
theme park ticket to the Happiest Place on Earth! Sometimes, plans have to shift, and that’s perfectly fine. I’ll be happy to help clarify this for you.
Typically, tickets are not officially assigned to an individual until they are scanned at the park entrance. Even if someone else bought the ticket for you, you should be able to add it to your MyDisney account using the Disneyland
mobile app. Here’s how:
- Tap the (≡) icon in the bottom right corner.
- Tap “My Tickets & Passes.”
- Tap the (+) icon in the top right corner.
- Tap “Link Tickets & Passes.”
- Either use the camera to scan the ticket’s barcode or type in the ticket ID.
Once your ticket is added to your account, you’ll be able to change your theme park reservation date online. Here’s how:
- Visit My Theme Park Reservations. (After clicking this link, you will be prompted to log in to your MyDisney account again.)
- Choose "Modify Reservation."
- Select the members of your party who will be modifying their park reservation.
- Choose the new date by selecting an available date on the park reservations calendar.
- Choose the theme park where you want to start your visit that day.
- Click "Continue."

Tickets support line to speak with a Cast Member. They can take a deeper look and assist you directly!
