How do I cancel a dinner reservation

    Welcome, Shannon!

I'm so glad you chose to Be Our Guest at the Walt Disney World Resort! If you're a foodie like me, you're in for a real treat. Fun fact: I love planning my entire Disney trip around food. Of course, last-minute changes happen, so if you need to adjust your dining plans, I'm here to make it easy.

The easiest and most convenient way to make changes is through the My Disney Experience mobile app. Select “My Plans” on the welcome screen to view your current dining reservations. From there, you can browse dates and see your plans for each day of your magical adventure. Once you find the reservation you want to modify, click “Get Details.” If changes are available, you'll then see the option to either cancel or modify your reservation. Here, you can update the date, adjust the number of Guests, or even cancel your reservation entirely.

One important thing to note: most table service locations require you to cancel at least two hours before your reservation time to avoid a no-show fee. If you get swept up in the magic and lose track of time, stop by the restaurant or speak with a Guest Experience Team Cast Member and let them know your situation.

I also love the “Chat With Us” option in the My Disney Experience app. You can connect with a Cast Member while enjoying your day, so you don't have to interrupt your plans. It truly makes everything more convenient. It really feels like you have your own personal Cast Member genie in your mobile device.

Please note: you won't be able to modify some reservations through your app. For example, when I wanted to change my reservation for Sangria University at Disney's Coronado Springs Resort, I had to cancel and rebook the experience.

If you have some popular restaurants on your must-try list, keep checking for availability. Pro tip: Most Guests cancel or rearrange their plans the day before and the day of arrival. I've scored some hard-to-get spots just by refreshing throughout the day!

Shannon, I hope this information helps, and more importantly, that you have a fantastic time enjoying all the delicious options waiting for you. Grab a sushi roll at Splitsville Dining Room for me!

    Your personal planning companion,
    Michelle
