How far apart should I book lighting lane rides?

    Hi Sheila,

Welcome back, we are glad you stopped by planDisney! I can help with this planning strategy, getting the most out of my day is important and giving you some pointers should help you tackle as many attractions as possible. Lightning Lane Multi Pass allows you to schedule three attractions before your visit. If you were staying at a Disney Resorts Collection Hotel you will be able to select your attractions 7 days ahead of your arrival. If you aren’t it will be three days ahead of your first park day. Either way scheduling the first three attractions early in the morning would be my top recommendation. The amount of time in between your selections should be around an hour, depending on the length of the attraction and the distance between attractions. As an example, if you pick Pirates of the Caribbean and Tiana's Bayou Adventure, they are fairly close in terms of distance. So if it is under an hour, you should be safe. The My Disney Experience App won’t let you overlap attractions so you won’t have to worry about making them too close to each other.

Things you will want to look out for, using Pirates of the Caribbean again as a first selection, your second selection shouldn’t be on the other side of the park like Buzz Lightyear Space Ranger Spin. Getting there will be a bit of a trek and take up some time. What I always encourage is to do your homework on what attractions are must-do. Once you have that list, check the map to see what other attractions are near the Lightning Lane (LL) attraction that typically don’t have long waits. At that point just make sure you go before or after the scheduled time for the LL attraction. That gives you sort of a two for one on your itinerary inside of one little journey to one of the lands. Another tip is take that mid-day break where you do nothing at all. This gives you the extra energy to finish your day strong. Which brings me to another LL tip, when you are just about ready to take your midday break, after you have spent one of your LL selections choose one of the attractions to come back to for 4 PM as an example. If you were taking a 2:30pm break or if you aren’t going to leave the park you can use this same strategy with your meals. Doing this ahead of time gives you the ability to arrive and not have to wait to continue with your magical day.

I hope this is helpful for your planning strategy and maximizing the MultiPass purchase.

    See ya real soon,
