Hello, Carly!
Thanks for hopping over to planDisney with your question. If you'll be staying at an eligible resort during your upcoming visit (and my calculations are correct), then your Lightning Lane booking window opens tomorrow at 7 am EST. Hooray! But in case I've missed any important details, here's a quick refresh:
guests of eligible resorts can purchase and book 7 days before their check-in date, while off-site guests can book 3 days before their ticket start day. Either way, your window is right around the corner, so let's chat through the logistics.
Since you'll be visiting with
Park Hopper Option tickets, you can certainly purchase
Lightning Lane Multi Pass for Disney's Animal Kingdom Park and begin scheduling attractions at a second park (in this case,
EPCOT) once you've redeemed one of your initial selections. I recommend scheduling your arrival windows for Animal Kingdom as early in the day as possible so you can start scheduling additional selections, one at a time and subject to availability, once you've scanned in at your first attraction.
Let's say you schedule Kilimanjaro Safaris, Expedition Everest – Legend of the Forbidden Mountain, and Kali River Rapids as your initial three experiences. Once you've redeemed one of these attractions, you'll be able to make an additional selection at Animal Kingdom if there are still attractions on your to-do list, or you can start planning the remainder of your day at EPCOT. You won't be limited by any attraction tiers or groups when making your next selection, but know that return windows for top attractions may already be booked up for the day.
If you have your heart set on a
group one attraction at EPCOT, it might make sense to purchase Multi Pass there instead for your afternoon arrival. But if you'd like to stick with your original plan, I recommend refreshing your My Disney Experience app throughout the day, even if you aren't able to select your next preferred experience on first attempt. Availability can shift as other guests modify their plans, and new arrival windows can open up when you least expect them. You are also welcome to ride any attraction via the standby queue as well.
Before I go, I'd also like to mention that you can purchase Lighting Lane Single Pass in addition to or in place of Multi Pass.
Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind is always my top choice at EPCOT, so I usually purchase an arrival window for that as soon as my booking window opens and hop back in the standby line for a second ride at the end of the night. You can purchase up to 2 Single Pass experiences per day, so Avatar Flight of Passage and Cosmic Rewind would make for a perfect pair based on your plans.
Carly, I hope this helped. If you have additional questions, please come back and let us know.
Wishing you a magical visit!
Amy
