I want to buy tickets to Disneyworld and it seems that Typhoon Lagoon and Blizzard Beach Water Park Water are both closed in October 2023, since there are absolutely no dates available. Is that right or no one has updates the system for dates after Sept?

    Hi Paolina,

Welcome to planDisney! I'm excited to hear you have an upcoming visit planned to Walt Disney World Resort. I'd be happy to help, so let's dive in!

Earlier this year, Disney's Blizzard Beach Water Park closed for refurbishment just as Disney's Typhoon Lagoon Water Park returned from closure on March 19th. Though I've spent years enjoying the theme parks at Walt Disney World Resort, I've yet to spend a day splashing around the water parks, so like you, I'm eager to check them off my to-do list. I was excited to hear about the adorable "Frozen" touches at Blizzard Beach, when it reopened last November, and the incredible Typhoon Lagoon Surf Pool is definitely beckoning me to come "hang ten" one day soon.

To my knowledge, a reopening date has yet to be announced for Blizzard Beach, but I haven't heard any updates on the fall operating hours for Typhoon Lagoon. I took a look at the calendar and see that normal operating hours are scheduled through the end of September, but as you mentioned, nothing is listed for October just yet.

I reached out to a Cast Member who confirmed that the water parks typically operate year-round, but unfortunately, he didn't have more schedule details to share at this time. It's possible we will see additional dates and times added to the calendar in the coming weeks but I'd keep an eye on Disney Parks Blog for the most up-to-date information.

I'm hopeful you'll get to splash down during your visit, but there are plenty of ways to keep cool at the theme parks, too! You're sure to cool off during a ride on Kali River Rapids at Disney's Animal Kingdom Theme Park, and the little princes and princesses in your travel party will love splashing around at Casey Jr. Splash 'N' Soak Station at Magic Kingdom Park. There are also some incredible pools at Disney Resorts Collection hotels if you haven't already decided on hotel accommodations. My family loves the Keister Coaster waterslide at Luna Park Pool at Disney's Boardwalk Inn & Villas, and Stormalong Bay, a unique sand-bottomed pool at Disney's Yacht and Beach Club Resorts is sure to delight registered guests.

Paolina, I'm sorry I didn't have more specific information for you today, but I'm wishing you a most magical visit nonetheless. If we can offer any additional planning assistance please stop back and let us know.

    Magic and memories,
    Amy
