Hi there, Carol, and welcome to planDisney!
Theme park tickets at the Disneyland Resort are not officially assigned to an individual until they enter the park. When you purchase the ticket, you can either keep it in your MyDisney account until you arrive or allow the other Guest to add it to their account. I’ll be happy to guide you on this process!
The easiest way to buy a theme park ticket is through the Disneyland
mobile app. Here’s how:
- Tap the (+) sign in the bottom center.
- Tap “Buy Tickets and Passes.”
- Tap “Theme Park Tickets.”
- Select Standard Park Ticket or another ticket, if eligible.
- Select the number of days you wish to attend.
- Select the number of tickets.
- Select the ticket type: One Park Per Day or Park Hopper.
- Choose the days you plan to visit.
- If you choose a Park Hopper, select the park where you will start the day.
- Choose any add-ons you’re interested in.
- Click “Checkout.”
Next, navigate to the main menu, tap “My Tickets & Passes”, and you should see your tickets here. Then, provide the ticket number (located under the barcode) to the other person in your party. From there, they can add the ticket to their MyDisney account. Here’s how:
- Tap the (≡) icon in the bottom right corner.
- Tap “My Tickets & Passes.”
- Tap the (+) icon in the top right corner.
- Tap “Link Tickets & Passes.”
- Type in the ticket ID.
Now, they should be all set to enter the park!
Bonus Tip: Keep an eye on the
Disney Parks Blog as your visit approaches! There is always something new happening at Disneyland.
Carol, I hope this information is helpful and that you all have an amazing time during your visit to the Happiest Place on Earth! If you have any other questions as you plan your visit, please feel free to come see us again here at planDisney.
Sending you faith, trust, and pixie dust,
